The City of Davis Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on the project application, as described below, at a meeting beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, in the Community Chambers, City Offices, 23 Russell Boulevard, Davis, California. Please contact the Department of Community Development and Sustainability for the approximate time this item will be heard.

Project Description:
The applicant proposes to revise existing CUP #8-17 that permits retail cannabis dispensary use at 2121 Second Street, adding mobile cannabis delivery. The delivery use will operate in approximately 555 square feet of space within the existing approximately 2,000 square feet of space approved for dispensary use. Delivery will include medical and adult use cannabis and cannabis products. Orders will be placed by phone or on-line and delivered to the customer off-site. Hours of operation will be daily from 9:00am to 9:00pm. Anticipated number of deliveries is anticipated to be 20 to 30 per day. The proposed use is permitted in the subject site's light industrial zoning district, subject to approval of a Conditional Use Permit. The Planning Commission will review the application and make a recommendation to City Council. City Council has final authority to approve or deny the application. You will receive a separate notice of the City Council meeting date. 

Environmental Determination:
The proposed project is categorically exempt from further environmental review pursuant to CEQA sections 15301 and 15303 as the proposal involves operation, repair, maintenance, leasing and licensing of existing facilities, and involves the conversion of a small structure not exceeding 2,500 square feet where retail cannabis delivery-only is a conditionally permitted use.

Staff reports are available through the Planning Commission's website at: http://cityofdavis.org/city-hall/city-council/commissions-and-committees/planning-commission/agendas-and-minutes. Staff reports for the public hearing are generally available five (5) days prior to the hearing date and may also be available by contacting the project planner.
